Up and away: Here we go

So here we are in Singapore. We are pretty tired and have just got back from dinner at a local food court: Green Curry and Beef Rengdang to share, yum!

Scoot was a fantastic airline to travel. We paid $211AUD each to fly from the Gold Coast to Singapore. We had lots of leg room on the plane and there was even a free water purifier on the plane to fill up our drink bottles. We made some sandwiches and brought some fruit for our eight hour flight and it went really quickly.

We love our letter themed photos y'all (GC if you didn't already realise)

For our brief trip in Singapore we are staying at the Green Kiwi Backpackers, central, cheap, clean and free wi-fi.

We used the local train service to get to our hostel, not bad at $1.50SD for the train fare. We have bought local travel cards, EZ-link, to get around for the next few days.

I have been reading about the Sky Walk, we might check this out tomorrow, apparently it is about $8 to walk through the treetops but can get pretty hot and exposed during the heat of the day.

We fly out of Singapore late on Sunday night to meet my bro Jay in Phuket for a couple of days. Sonja and him have been working hard to check out our accommodation and options for our next leg in Phi Phi Island before we head to Rhythm and Sands and the Full Moon Party where we might be meeting a couple of other friends from Palmy. I have heard the paint and antics come out at these events too as they did at our Halong Bay Tour in Vietnam earlier this year...

Lil Bro is looking forward to seeing us...

A big thank you to all of those people helping to get Sonja and I together over the last few days, the Millers and the Thomsons in particular - we love you guys.
